Polymorphous Seeds (ongoing series)
In a world dominated by monocultures, I imagine what if ecosystems could produce seeds!
What would these seeds comprise and what would they look like?
I envision them having the genome of various entwined species (endangered and extinct), and a capacity to disperse and regenerate biodiverse ecosystems. Each individual seed would carry the potential of producing myriad unique ecosystems under different conditions, therefore making them polymorphous seeds.
These polymorphous seeds comprise macro and micro details of assorted parts of various flowers, plants, pollinators, animals, and insects. The ecosystem- a biological community of interacting organisms and their physical environment becomes the protagonist in these works.
Travelling and dispersing through time and space, these fictitious polymorphous seeds become time capsules of hybridity and diversity.
