Microscope, Slides - Parts of plants, insects, human bodies, Needle, Blade, List of Slides, Pen and Gouache on Archival Paper
The work investigates the notion of identity and existence. The project documents the direct reality hidden from our eyes due to our biological setup. Samples of presented microscopic slides consist of details from plants, flowers, insects and the human body. The images transcend their biological anchor to phenomenological purpose.
A total of 108 slides have been presented. The work generates an experience of wonder, which indirectly makes the spectator more humane and conscious of his every action. As a whole, I intend to generate a feeling of being alive in the time of capitalism and virtual reality.
